WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 2, 2026) – MARC Media Group is continuing to execute its strategic Florida expansion with the acquisition of three Brevard County stations currently owned by Cumulus Media. Included are the contemporary hits station WAOA 107.1 FM (“A1A”); country format WHKR 102.7 FM (“The Hitkicker”); and classic rock WROK 95.9 FM (“The Rocket”) under a local marketing agreement with purchase pending FCC approval.
This brings the total number of MARC Media Group stations to 22. Back in February, MARC also acquired nine central Florida stations along the Atlantic I-95 corridor and in the Lakeland-Winter Haven markets.
“As planned, our signals now pretty much cover a majority of the central Florida peninsula,” said Scott Miller, MARC’s chief operating officer. “We’ve remained true to our objective to bring community-focused, meaningful on-air programming to our growing listener and advertising bases. And we’re just getting started.”
Miller pointed out that A1A, The HitKicker and The Rocket have each built tremendously loyal audiences over the years. “MARC intends to provide each station with the tools needed to grow those audiences even further. We are very selective when it comes to bringing stations into the MARC fold, applying a formula we’ve fine-tuned for growth and profitability.”
