WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 16, 2026) – MARC Media Group announced today that it is purchasing five radio stations just north of metro Tampa along the Gulf Coast of Florida. Pending FCC approval, WGHR 106.3 FM (“Hits 106”), WXCV 95.3 FM (“Citrus 95.3”), simulcast stations WXCZ 103.3 FM and WXZC 104.3 FM (“Nature Coast Country”) and classic hits station WXOF 96.7 FM (“The Fox”) will be acquired from licensee WGUL-FM, Inc. Just two weeks ago, MARC Media Group announced its securement of three stations on the Atlantic side of Florida’s peninsula.
These stations are located in the region known as Florida’s Nature Coast, famous for its pristine waters, active outdoor lifestyle and close-knit communities, featuring such natural assets as the Crystal River, Weeki Wachi Springs and Homosassa Springs. The stations’ combined signals stretch up into the state’s panhandle.
MARC Media Group Chief Operating Officer Scott Miller said, “MARC Media is continuing on our path to identify and secure stations that are market adjacent to metropolitan areas that we’ve identified as primed for growth. The recent completion of Florida Turnpike’s new Suncoast Parkway now links three strategic access roads north of Tampa that are already spurring residential and commercial growth along both its existing and even its planned phases.”
In 2026 alone, MARC Media Group more than doubled its ownership of Florida radio stations, adding 16 stations to last year’s 11, making it one of the fastest-growing media companies in the country. Recent MARC acquisitions are market-adjacent to Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Orlando/Lakeland and now Tampa/St. Pete. “When opportunity knocks, you answer,” said Miller. “Some may refer to our purchases as secondary markets. We prefer to call them our future.”
