MARC Radio Group Expands Central Florida Reach into Lakeland-Winter Haven Market
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WINTER PARK, Fla. (Feb. 12, 2026) – MARC Radio Group announced today that it is increasing its reach to central Florida’s Lakeland-Winter Haven market with the purchase of country station WPCV 97.5 FM, adult hits format WONN 1230 AM/ 107.1 FM (W296CS), 95.9FM (W240DB) and talk radio WLKF 1430 AM from Hall Communications. The expected closing date is in May, pending FCC approval.
This purchase is in addition to MARC’s announcement earlier this week that it has acquired five east Florida stations along the I-95 corridor.
“97 Country WPCV is a terrific station,” said Scott Miller, MARC’s chief revenue officer, who confirmed that the station will keep its country music format. “You don’t mess with success.” Among the assets that attracted MARC Radio are the popularity of its award-winning morning show, the fervent loyalty of its listeners and its signal that stretches from nearly Tampa to Sanford. WONN’s MAX adult hits and WLKF’s talk radio programming round out the purchase, ensuring a variety of formats to serve the Lakeland-Winter Haven radio market.
MARC Radio Group is a privately-owned Central Florida company with ties to the Lakeland community, including graduates of Florida Southern College who are longtime fans of the station.
